Global warming is causing a Vancouver Island landmark
to melt, said Dr. Dan Smith (sociology)
on CBC Radios On the Island (Nov. 6). Hes concerned
the Comox Glacier is being affected by the increase in greenhouse
gas emissions. There is a process going on, he said.
The glaciers are in retreat, and are shrinking by about 25
metres per year.
Canadians have clearly said Quit bickering,
quit squabbling and do something about health care,
said Dr. Michael Prince (political science)

request that the federal government spend more on health care. The
government pays attention to polls. The prime minister did commit
to a meeting with the premiers in February and the implication is
that there will be some more money on the table.
