It's a new session at UVic and a new name for the University's department of public relations and information services. The department's new name is the shorter, simpler "UVic Communications Services." The name change better reflects the range of services the department now provides&emdash;media relations, community relations and consulting and support services to the on-campus community. Staff in the department are involved in a variety of projects, including print, radio, and video ones. Existing signs, letterhead, business cards and publications will continue to carry the old departmental name until either existing stocks are exhausted or UVic Communications Services' December move to the Sedgewick Building.
