Savvy Santa

Santa gets in shape for that marathon trip on Christmas Eve by attending athletics and recreational services aerobics classes in the McKinnon Gym. He'll have a bit more cheer to hand out this year thanks to a food drive organized by instructional programmer Theresa Garthwaite. All aerobics and boxercise class participants who bring a food item to their classes by Dec. 18 are eligible to win a fitness class punch card. For class schedules call Garthwaite at 721-8721. Remember, Santa (facility attendant Paul Johnson) keeps a list of those who are extra nice.

--PROF. HAMAR FOSTER (law)

Referring to the B.C. leaders' debate on the Nisga'a treaty, televised live on Nov. 30, and B.C. Liberal Opposition Leader Gordon Campbell's accusation that Premier Glen Clark "thinks that it's all right to create 50 or 60 gated communities that will divide us all forever."
