Catherine (Kitty) Cameron, secretary to seven UVic
presidents, died on Nov. 29 at age 80. Cameron, described by
university historian Peter Smith as "a UVic pioneer," joined
Victoria College in September 1956 as secretary to the
principal, Dr. Harry Hickman. She retired in November 1983.
