THE UNIVERSITY OF VICTORIA

Thanks for speaking out

For 17 years the UVic Speaker's Bureau has matched UVic faculty, staff and graduate students with community groups and organizations throughout southern Vancouver Island. Between April and December this year, the bureau has provided speakers for 246 engagements--a new record. This year, a total of 140 UVic speakers have offered to share their expertise with others on more than 400 topics as far-ranging as art and architecture, fitness, animals and fish, parenting, computers, ethics, world cultures, human rights, wellness, travel, history, stress, and religion. More speakers are always welcome. For more information on the Speakers Bureau, or to sign up as a member, call UVic communications services at 721-8587.
