
On Sept. 28, the UVic board of governors ratified the tentative agreement reached Aug. 13 with the Professional Employees Association (PEA), the bargaining unit for academic and administrative professionals.
The three-year agreement provides for no wage increases during the first two years and a two per cent across-the-board increase in the final year (2000-01). It provides for salary increments, subject to satisfactory performance, for employees below the job ceiling.
