Technical Specifications
- Accepted ad file formats: Preference for CMYK press-ready PDFs (embed all fonts) at 150 line screen; or Illustrator saved as an EPS (convert text to outlines). Greyscale is acceptable. No spot colours.
- An EPS saved from another program (Mac or PC) must have all text converted to outlines.
- For electronically submitted photographs, TIFF format is preferred (CMYK or greyscale, 200 dpi). JPEGs saved at maximum quality are acceptable.
- Half-tone screen = 75 lpi.
- Logos should be saved as EPS or TIFF (depending on the type of graphic).
- The Ring uses a five column grid (1 column = 1.875”)
- Ads, photos and logos can be submitted electronically, on disk, or by e-mail.
- A cost estimate to design an ad will be supplied upon request.
