UVic United Way Campaign off to fast start

The UVic United Way is proud to announce that only two weeks after our kick-off on October 6 we are more than two-thirds of the way to our fundraising goal of $250,000. UVic is counting on the support of the entire campus community as the campaign pushes to meet its goal.

During the month of October, all UVic employees received emails detailing the new online donation system used this year. More information about donating online to United Way is available at www.uvic.ca/unitedway/donate.

The 2014/15 QS World University Rankings, released this morning, provide another confirmation of UVic’s presence among the world’s top higher education institutions.

UVic’s rise from last year’s QS results was particularly significant, jumping more places in the 2014 ranking than any other Canadian university except Laval.
