Congratulations to Lansdowne Professor (Applied Cognitive Science) in the Faculty of Education, Dr. Wolff-Michael Roth who continues to receive recognition from around the world for his contributions to international science education.
Most recently the Senate of the University of Ioannina in Greece has selected Roth to receive the distinction of Honourary Doctor at their spring Convocation in 2011.

Other recent distinctions awarded to Roth are:

  • 2010 - Awarded for Significant Contributions to Educational Measurement and Research by the American Educational Research Association (AERA)
  • 2010 - Recognized for contributions to graduate education in a 19-page tribute published in the journal Cultural Studies of Science Education (Vol 5. No 4 (2010): pp 787-805
  • 2009 - Elected Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS)
  • 2009 - Received the annual Distinguished Contributor to Science Education awarded by National Association for Research in Science Teaching (NARST)
